Limniona is an ancient, nearly extinct Greek red wine grape variety from Thessaly that has been revived by winemakers, most notably Christos Zafeirakis. It produces elegant, complex red wines with a medium body, vibrant acidity, fine tannins, and aromas of red berries, cherries, herbs, and earthy notes. The Younger vineyards here have produced a wine that with a few years of age, show juicy dark red berry flavours with spice & pepper notes. The tannins are fine, but restrained & soft and it has a bright almost chalky finish.
